Missional Wisdom Foundation

The Missional Wisdom Foundation is a private non-profit corporation that supports the education and Christian development of adults through service and new monasticism. The Foundation makes it possible for students and others engaged in ministry to live in community and to explore Christian service by providing financial, asset management and administrative services.

The Foundation operates five new monastic communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex through the Epworth Project. New monastic communities are small groups of individuals who choose to live together under an Order of Life. They live, pray, eat and serve together, developing life skills and spiritual depth to propel them into a life of loving God and loving others. Our communities are each informally affiliated with a United Methodist Church which cooperates with the Foundation to provide spiritual guidance and connection to the members of each community. Our communities currently include students from Perkins School of Theology and TCU as well as other adults interested in ministry and community.

The Foundation also provides financial and administrative support to the Academy for Missional Wisdom, which is a two year non-degree program that  provides laity and clergy with the theological foundation and practical skills needed for starting and leading micro-communities of contemplative prayer and missional action.  The program integrates distance learning technology, immersion experiences, and retreats as well as a contextualized practicum with coaching to provide accessible and affordable education for persons who work full-time.

The Foundation also provides financial and administrative support to Students of Missional Wisdom, an Organized Interest Group of the Perkins Student Association. Students of Missional Wisdom allows Perkins students to develop and implement missional service projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The Missional Wisdom Foundation is a private corporation and is not legally affiliated any educational or religious organization.

and what does the LORD require of you
