The Dispersed Community
The missional stance is based in the ethos of kenosis—pouring oneself out. The contemplative stance is based in the ethos of grace—receiving life freely. For the MWF to operate both missionally and contemplatively, there must be a balance between pouring and filling. To love God and neighbor, a community must also learn to love itself. It must find ways to invest in the health of the community to empower the community to love. Through the Dispersed Community, the MWF seeks to pour into our missional community.
The MWF has a dispersed hub of people whose ministry it is to care for the MWF community. These people are communicators, translators, educators, administrators, guides, and evaluators.
